As part of a project building 14 free standing book cases I need a bulk supply of 1/4 shelf pins and shelf pin sleeves. The quality and price of the products was excellent, and the delivery was extremely fast..

Site says to use s 9/64 hole, I found this size to be too big and the sleeve would fall out, ended up using a 17/65 drill and using a rubber hammer to tap into place.

The orders are shipped very quickly, and the metal is good quality. I fix up Heywood Wakefield furniture from the 1940’s and 1950’s. Widgets is where I buy my Shelf Pins because they look like the originals for that furniture. I also upgrade vintage display cabinets by adding lighting and glass shelves. This usually means adding more shelf pin holes to provide more shelf adjustments. Personally, I feel that filling the empty holes in display cabinets with Grommets adds a finished look and makes the furniture look more expensive. In this particular order I purchased each ‘color’ of Shelf Pin & it's matching Grommet so I could have samples at home to see which would work best with my project. In each pair, the pin and grommet colors matched each other perfectly. As always, I highly recommend Widgets for both small and large orders.

I was completing a project that was long overdue and determined that since the customer had made a change from the original spec that I was gong to be about 200 short of the original quantity ordered. Naturally this was a Friday afternoon... when I went online to order the balance needed I couldn't get a person because my order was less than $250. I hung up and dialed again and talked to a customer service rep. I explained the problem and that I really needed the $22 product shipped for a next day Saturday delivery. He had to manually do whatever he did to make sure I received it on Sat. Since it was late on a Friday the rep. said he would go out to the warehouse to make sure they saw it was a Sat. delivery. I called later to make sure it went out and was a little concerned because the email copy of the invoice indicated a "next business day" type delivery. I couldn't remember the rep. who took my order so I asked the person on the phone to check on my order explaining my concerns. He looked it up and said that the original rep. had to enter the order this way but noted to shipping that it was for a Sat. delivery and that must have been the reason he mentioned going out to shipping to make sure they saw the special handling. The order was delivered on the next day and I was able to complete the project. Frankly, if I had placed a $1K order I wouldn't have expected the level of customer service that I received for my $22 order. All I can say is that I'm amazed and a very happy customer. I seldom take the time to review purchases but I wanted to this time. For me to write this much about any order you must be able to tell my level of satisfaction. All I can say is that you don't pay the guy enough that helped me order this and did what was necessary for me to receive when I needed it. Because of that I will always look to see if you have the product I need before looking anywhere else. I know I'm rambling but I am still amazed. Thank you very much!

For one of my more personally challenging pieces as a novice woodworker, I built a hutch for our dining room sideboard. The shelves are a healthy 56" span of 5/4 pine. I thought maybe adding sleeves would help with the integrity of the shelf pin holes, so I got some. But the side benefit is they look really, really good. Just kind of gives the piece a little more class somehow. Using the Kreg shelf pin jig and bit, the pins were a little tight. The next bit size up makes the holes just a tad to big. My solution was to use a 1/4 bit and just widen the top of the hole a tiny amount to get them started. Then used a dead blow hammer to seat them in the rest of the way.

I have a very old bookcase that I needed shelf pins for but couldn't find the right size at any hardware stores. WIDGETCO recommended using pin sleeves and then putting the shelf pins into the sleeve. They fit the holes perfectly and are the right color. I ordered the antique brass and they blend right in with the color of the wood. Now I will not have to worry about my shelves falling down. Thank you
