#9 Extra Select Corks Perfect for Beer Bottles
I've been bottling Kombucha for my own use and I had some empty beer bottles around, first I tried #7 corks, which are good if you want the cork to be flush with the bottle's opening. I wanted the cork to stick out more, I found the #9 was what worked for me, a #7, #8 or #9 work, depending on what look you're going for. These corks are a great quality, widgetco.com is a wonderful company to do business with, very quick and friendly service too, with reasonable prices, highly recommended.

Replacement Cork for one of my Cruets
After ordering twice, this Size 9 cork is precisely the cork I so desperately needed. It took a little carving, but I managed to fit the wooden-pegged top to the cork and now I have a perfect fit. My Grandson stopped by my desk and saw my extra corks and declared he had an urgent need for some of them. He is into Civil War Re-enacting and his peculiar needs are myriad. Good Product
Needed to replace the cork in a pewter wine stopper. Bought a few tapered size 8's and 9's. Both would have worked, but the 8's could potentially fall out if not glued, and the 9's were slightly "too big". So I soaked a 9 in water for a minute and then shoved it in with a dot of guerrilla glue at the base. Boom... perfectly new again favorite wine stopper.

I'm so glad WidgetCo exists. I made the mistake of giving to the Salvation Army a bag full of corks we'd collected, which we could not retrieve as many times as we tried. My husband asked me to find an alternative to the handiness of having all those corks (though I think they rarely seemed to fit the bill). Hence, I ordered several sizes each of Stoppers and T-Corks.
