Unfortunately, I tried to use size 46, and then 44 to be used in a wine carafe, but the taper angle was too slight. I have not yet found my solution.

#44 cork stoppers - perfect for wide mouth mason jars
When I placed my initial order...I had measured the jar opening incorrectly. I wanted corks to fit a wide mouth mason jar, but I was way off by ordering #40 corks. They were too small so I called customer service and they were very helpful. I ordered the correct size #44 stoppers and they were here within a few days and they fit perfectly. I definitely will recommend WIDGETCO corks to others. What a nice cork product!

Perfect for mason jars
This is an exact fit for my wide mouth quart mason jars, which I'll be retrofitting with airlocks to make my own pickl-it jars. I was expecting a cheaper material, but this is very nice cork. My order was shipped very quickly too.
