Size 28 Cork Stoppers - Standard

I wanted a cork stopper for the port on our display wine barrel that holds our used wine bottle corks. this worked really well.

We had a handcrafted piggy bank that had a large opening for its mouth that needed a cork stopper. I had no idea how to locate one, or how to know what size to order if I found a source. I found the Widget Company through a Google search. Not only did they offer all different sizes of cork stoppers, but they also provided information about how to choose the correct size we needed! Bought couple 'antique looking' jars with "Homemade" inscription on them at local landscape yard sale. Needed cork tops for project for their use. Widget supplied so great find. Only suggestion.....put instructions on 'how to measure/order' up front & BOLD so customers don't need to order twice. Not actual size of inside lip of jar but rather 1/4" larger so initial corks didn't 'fall in' & then have to be returned for larger ones.

Needed 8 replacement corks for vintage spice containers. All local hardware stores didn't have any. Found them at WidgetCo. Perfect fit. Thanks.

I was so pleased that I was able to find a cork for my daughter's unique piggy bank she inherited from my grandmother. It was easy to decide what size cork I needed from the sizes listed. I bought #28 cork to replace my 2 quart Stanley Thermos plastic stopper ( It is not high temperature resistance and the plastic bottom broken to pieces in about 6 months. ) I love the cork it is all nature. I will definitely recommend it.

I needed 2 cork stoppers for part of a Christmas present. I placed the order on Monday, December 14th. The order fulfillment was outstanding. I got an emails that same day confirming the order and that it had been already shipped. Estimated delivery was 4-5 business days. My only negative was they used the USPS and they didn't actually deliver until the 20th. All in all - 5 star experience!

I was pleased with the corks I received, almost too new looking, I had hoped they would be the darker color. Free shipping is a great plus, no one offers that for small cost items. In the meantime I'm attempting to stain them with coffee and tea. Wonder compact corks.

I used these for tops on porcelain balm jars that I make and sell. I like them. the #28 seem to be painted with a white substance, not like the other larger stoppers I have purchased. I have to sand the corks to keep them the natural cork color. I wish this was not the case. I have not had this problem with the other stoppers I have purchased.

[Reply from WIDGETCO: The finish you observed is part of the peroxide wash that sanitizes our corks. This is the same process we use for wine corks and once exposed to the air the natural cork finish will soon appear.]

Good quality corks. I have ordered other sizes in the past. The #28 was perfect to seal up the holes in the barrels I am using vertically for tables, they keep the critters out and other undesirables from spoiling the interior. These same corks can be found on Amazon for more $ but I was satisfied with how easy it was to order directly from WIDGETCO.
