Cork Stoppers I had an issue with just one cork stopper that I ordered. The size was just a wee bit small so it dropped right through the opening. Apparently, for Ball Jars, (the large ones with the eagle on it) the cork stoppers even though measured correctly when I placed the order did not fit. I was treated most graciously and WidgetCo sent me the next size, which is still a bit small but does stop the opening, barely! I did not have to return the one I ordered, nor did I have to pay the the exchange. This is an awesome company, the best for customer service. I will let people know if they are looking and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

5 Stars This was my second order for a special cork, and both corks fit well with my hair-brained projects (one a giant glass piggy bank that I am using for yarn storage, and another for a glass dummy head which I haven't decided yet if it will be a terrarium or an aquarium. It fits a very large, very old Mason jar which I can now actually use for storing some things. The measurements given for these corks make it possible to fit various sized containers.

Thrilled I have a pickle jar which I wanted to use for making fire cider and the lid had rusted. I measured the inside of the lid and got an approx. Size, found the nearest cork size and viola!

Cork Lid After measuring my containers and making my selection based on the information on your thr site the lids I bought were to small (#50, 3 3/4 on top and 3 1/2 on bottom). My container is 3.5 inches across an your lid dropped to the bottom inside the jar. I need lids so I have ordered the next size up (I guess I'll just have to eat the ones I purchased already). You do not like the absence of customer service, nor do I appreciate it purchasing set lids when I have a set I cannot use. Hope your service gets better! Excellent stoppers! I bought a size 50 stopper to use as a top for an early 1800s olive jar. I thought it would be hard to find a stopper that large, but WIDGETCO had it with excellent product descriptions. It was built up out of 3 layers of cork until the correct thickness, 1 1/4 inch, was reached. The layering resulted in a very solid stopper with no holes that went all the way through. I rasped down the two bottom layers until they were a snug fit in the jar opening, and let the top layer overhang the opening. The resilience of the cork allows the stopper to conform to the slightly irregular shape of the opening, provides a snug fit, and yet is easy to put in or take out. I am very pleased with the product, the service, the price, and the fast delivery.

Good Product, Reliable Seller I needed to replace a cork in the last of my mother's 1970's blown glass canisters. The old cork was shriveled and darkened and useless. I didn't have a clue where to start to find a new one but I took to the internet and found one here! Hooray! It arrived quickly, was well packaged for shipment, and fit into the canister perfectly. very poor quality corks I just ordered 40 of this large size corks, and 19 of them arrived completely unusable with very large insect holes passing through the cork. I have ordered from this company before and every order I receive corks that are damaged and unusable. I have requested that they stop shipping me these unusable corks with my order, but they continue to include them. I have to pay to not only receive the unusable corks, but also spend time and money to ship them back within the the 30 days for their return policy. Very unsatisfied with the poor quality of the large corks.

Happy Customer I ordered a large cork for a wide mouth jar I want to use as a holder for drinking straws. The cork i ordered from Widget Co. came very quickly but was full of large, unsightly cracks on the top. While I understand that such cracks are a naturally occurring result of growing tree bark, I mentioned my unhappiness in my review, just as "Shelley M." had in March. I immediately received an email from Widget offering to send me another cork. The replacement cork came right away, is flawless and I am very happy. Whether naturally occurring or not, I believe no customer wants corks with large cracks on the top. I believe Widget would be better served just to weed those out of their inventory. Great Size Selection, Fast Shipping I needed four different large size corks. I received them very quickly, and the quality is higher than the prices would indicate. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Cork quality Generally, I love the corks from WidgetCo usually about 80% of the corks in my order are useable, and 20% have such large gaps, splits, and major flaws not suitable for my application. I wish for the larger corks they would have a way to grade them, as i am only interested in receiving the ones in great condition.

Good Product WidgetCo is very customer oriented. The corks I ordered arrived quickly and were of good quality. FYI to cork buyers in arid climates: I switched from the agglomerated corks to natural corks because they were truer to size. The agglomerated corks that I ordered were slightly smaller than the given dimensions. I assume this was due to lack of ambient moisture. Also, for the price, the natural corks are more handsome than the agglomerated corks.
